Oak Kitchen Glow up

Residential

Project Summary – Kitchen Remodel:

This kitchen remodel brought a fresh, modern update while maintaining the charm and warmth of the home’s original oak cabinetry.

Before:

The kitchen featured dated brown countertops, tile backsplash, and minimal lighting, giving the space a darker, heavier appearance. The layout and cabinetry were functional but visually aged, with traditional knobs and a lack of contrast against the wood tones.

After:

The remodel transformed the kitchen into a bright, inviting, and more contemporary space while keeping the original oak cabinets. The updates included:

  • New Countertops: Light quartz countertops replaced the dark laminate, providing a clean, elegant surface that brightens the entire room.

  • Backsplash Upgrade: The old brown tile was replaced with a sleek, glossy white tile in a modern geometric pattern, adding texture and visual interest.

  • Updated Fixtures: A new stainless-steel undermount sink and pull-down faucet modernize the workspace.

  • Lighting Improvements: Under-cabinet LED lighting highlights the backsplash and countertops, enhancing both function and ambiance.

  • Hardware Refresh: Black pulls and handles replaced the small round knobs, adding contrast and a stylish contemporary touch.

Overall Result:

This remodel successfully balanced old and new—preserving the natural beauty of the oak cabinetry while introducing bright, clean finishes and modern functionality. The result is a warm yet sophisticated kitchen that feels open, cohesive, and timeless.
